A subject as varied as anything else I’ve ever shot… and twice as surprising! You’re guaranteed something new every time you point the camera at him and sometimes you don’t realize what you’ve captured until long after it’s gone. I cherish every moment with him and miss him when he’s not around.

Fireworks are always an interesting subject for me. I love the colors they make and how the trails always look like some sort of exotic flower in bloom. They’re tough to capture but when you do you get some beautiful images and each one is completely unique. Number 8 is one of my favorites in this set because it seems to resemble a teacup!

I enjoyed a gorgeous sunrise – and took as many photographs as I could while on the road and traveling!

Coming back from west Texas the other day, Teiko and I stopped by Fredericksburg. For those who haven’t been, it’s a neat town north of San Antonio that’s home to a lot of interesting shops. We wandered around a bit and snapped a few pictures, visited a wonderful antique shop, and barely managed to get out of a candy store without enough handmade fudge to put us into sugar comas!

This shoot was done for the Bear Creek Apartment complex website as well as for some promotional use. The client was quite pleased with my work and I’m looking forward to working with them again!

Teiko has an extensive design and graphical manipulation background with an artistic eye and close attention to detail. While design has been her main work she also does great work with a camera and has several photos featured on this website including the front page slide show. Teiko Moxie is a creative pseudonym that allows a certain level of freedom to be creative and exploratory with her artistic skills.

Michael has always been passionate about photography but was not able to delve fully into it until recently in his life. His eye for composition is excellent and his photos express an honesty and sincerity that is hard to find. He is also talented in design and has created logos.

So what is a Virtual Studio anyway?

Vashir Studio, is virtual in the way that we don’t have a brick and mortar studio space where we can invite you to. It is us at our desks in our own homes, working on our files on our computers. It is our website, and our teamwork and our commitment to each other, that we will one day have a real studio in our home, or in a commercial setting. For now though, we are delighted to say we have less overhead than a lot of photographers who do own studios and we are able to grab our gear and run at almost a moments notice! We are available to just make up something to go take pictures of on the weekends and head out of town or down to some event and get as many shots as possible to help us train our artistic eye, handling the equipment while on the go, and deciding what work flow works best for us on three sides of the coin. Taking pictures together as a team to cover something, handling images for post processing later, and then of course marketing and the website additions and how to make things gel together nicely. I noticed though, that in saying “Welcome to our Virtual Studio” we did not have a picture of one! So I thought about remedying that. Using the game of Second Life, which comes with some amazing 3 dimensional build tools I’ve decided to design for us our “Virtual Studio”! I will post the results on this page so there is a nice little image available.
